Disclaimer

What Trusul is - and just as importantly, what it isn't.

Trusul provides risk analysis and educational guidance. It does not guarantee that any article, claim, or piece of content is fully true or false. Always verify important information using trusted, independent sources before acting on or sharing it.

Not a Fact-Checking Authority

Trusul combines language analysis, pattern matching, and (when configured) external fact-check and news APIs to produce a credibility score and risk verdict. It is a decision-support tool designed to help you ask better questions - it is not a certified fact-checking organization, and a "Low Risk" result is not a certification that content is true.

AI and Automated Analysis Have Limits

Our scoring combines linguistic heuristics with optional external verification (Google Fact Check Tools, NewsData.io) and, where enabled, an AI-generated narrative explanation. Like any automated system, it can misjudge tone, miss context, be outdated, or simply get things wrong - especially for breaking news, satire, or topics with limited fact-check coverage. A "Needs Verification" result specifically means we didn't find enough corroborating evidence to be confident either way - treat any result as a starting point, not a final answer.

Not Professional Advice

Nothing on Trusul is legal, medical, financial, journalistic, or other professional advice. If content you're analyzing relates to a health, legal, or financial decision, consult a qualified professional rather than relying on an automated credibility score.

Your Responsibility

  • Verify the original source, author, and publication date before trusting or sharing content.
  • Cross-check important claims against multiple reputable, independent sources.
  • Be extra cautious with content related to health, elections, finance, or emergencies - the areas where misinformation causes the most real-world harm.
  • When in doubt, don't share. Uncertainty is a signal to verify further, not to spread further.

Third-Party Content

Trusul may reference or link to third-party news sources, fact-checks, and URLs as part of an analysis. We don't control that content and aren't responsible for its accuracy - it's presented as supporting context for your own judgment, not an endorsement.
